Very good app!
Very good app!
I waited for this since day 0 and here it is! Now I’m entirely happy with this app. :)
While looking superficially promising Delish proved to be buggy in practice. The last update has been quite a while ago, the developer seems unresponsive, the app feels unmaintained.
I have a lot of crashes and when I want to delete a bookmark the program tries to delete the bookmark again and again. Every time I start the program I have them in the activity monitor.
While I would love this app to do what it says on the box, it doesn’t work very well. Synchronization is flaky and slow - I have yet to see large changes propagate properly to pinboard. The download of site screenshots is nice but seems to crash out part way through every time during the initial download, requiring multiple restarts. And finally, you can’t actually edit the bookmark URL using the interface.
never works always crashing , its a ripoff
Could be great, but its crashing very often. I hope author will improve stability.
Delish was among my personal top 5 productivity tools. Till 2.1 everythig was ok. But since they have introduced in 2.2 the full text search feature (i.e. search in web pages sources also) search results are no more useful. For example, if you have tagged a page with "good graphics", when you search for "good graphics" you will get all pages containing the words "good" and "graphics" inside their html source. Even if they are separated!!! This means a lot of not pertinent results, and no choice to retrieve pages by your own tags. They have destroyed a good product.
terrible, constant crashes, almost useless, a waste of money
Good start. I think the area where the thumbs are needs to be dark or have an option for it to be dark to have some contrast with the thumbs. Tags also need to have a search field for fast search on a particular tag.
This makes managing my Pinboard links sooo much more fun. URL entry works well, the thumbnails are a nice feature, although its less powerful for bulk editing than pinboards web interface. I think if it had the following features it would really justify the $14 price tag. 1) The ability to add a tag to mulitple links instead of going through one by one, maybe drag a group of selected links onto a tag 2) The ability to delete a tag from more than one link at a time 3) Also have inclusive filters. If two tags are selected you should see links in Tag 1 or Tag 2, not links in both Tag 1 and Tag 2 … Im updating this review. After using the app for a while it doesnt seem to make changes to my Pinboard account. I cant tell if any of the changes I made since buying this app have been migrated back to Pinboad. Id love to like this app, and will revisit this review if it starts working again.
Currently its just an "ok" Pinboard client. * Its screenshot rendering constantly hiccups and will freeze. Ill have to quit and restart the app to get it to continue the process. Sometimes it gets stuck on certain bookmarks and I have to completely deliete the offending bookmarks before it will continue to process. This is a big pain, since its hard to tell whats causing the issue. * It doesnt seem to synchronize any changes I make with Pinboard when I make changes to Tags. I deleted a tag, and it constantly tries to delete it everytime it syncs. Not sure if thats not supported, but it definitely doesnt want to advance, and I dont know of a way to stop it. I also deleted a few bookmarks and synced, and they were all still shown at Pinboard. * The screenshot view is nice, but itd be great to have a list view for when you just need to dive quickly through the titles/desc/tags. * Id also like to be able to specify multiple tags in the Tags view. So for instance, I have a "Watchlater" tag. Itd be great to be able to say show me everything that has "WatchLater" and "Web_Development". If those issues are fixed, it would be a phenomenal experience. As it stands, its just an "ok" read-only list of my Pinboard items.
Id like the ability to have a list view of my bookmarks. I would like to see the whole title of my bookmarks. I have emailed the developer and have had NO response. The program also seems to hang when syncing or trying to edit or delete tags.
Exactly what I need functionality-wise, could do without the minor crashes. Speeding up the animations would be nice too.
Im a huge fan of the Pinboard bookmarking service, and this app is a perfect compliment to using it on the desktop. The Smart Bundles are a killer feature. There were some crashing issues in a previous version, but the developer was very responsive in getting things fixed. If you use Pinboard to manage your bookmarks, youll get a lot out of Delish.
I use Delish to manage my bookmarks on pinboard. It does most of what I need and has a decent interface. It is very simple, perhaps a bit too simple, but it gets the job done quite well. To the devs, I have a few feature requests: 1. Multiple entry editing (something like how iTunes works perhaps). 2. A drill-down tag-based navigation style (see Webbla). 3. A menubar item, perhaps with some sort of quick pulldown style searching and maybe a visual indicator when synching. Could display some other info as well. 4. Dock icon badge to display number of "to read" bookmarks remaining.
Id highly recommend this app, but thats only because theres nothing else like it (that Im aware of). I have become a HUGE pinboard user, and absolutely love the idea of the Smart Bundle Ive written/tweeted the developers many times, and its been over a month since theyve responded to me. One thing I want to do seems easy enough - I want the smart bundles to sync between my macs. All I need to know is where the .plist file is so I can create a symlink in dropbox. Its occasionally a bit glitchy, as sometimes the screenshot wont show up and it will just look completely white, and sometimes it throttles VERY slowly, but given that theres not much competition for this, I DO highly recommend it, and use it multiple times a day. I just wish it was more actively developed. The last update was 6 months ago, and its a relatively new app.
This app is totally broken. It incorrectly parses tags from Delicious, breaking them at every space character. It cant do any batch processing. Syncing and adding tags are unbelievably slow. It doesnt support drag-and-drop tagging. Also, when I tried to change ONE of my tags with asterisks in it, it changed ALL of my tags effectively erasing them. That happened twice. What a waste of $15. If youre still on the fence, note that the app hasnt been touched by the developer since February 2013. Save your money and buy something else.
I’ve been a Pinboard user since 2009 and have over 13k links. There is nothing else like this that (visual view of content) I can find for PInboard. It takes almost all available RAM while syncing but I’m hoping that is only because it’s the initial download. I can’t use anything else while it’s open and I have 8GB of RAM. If it’s open for a while it freezes up.
Very good pinboard client, if it works! Will gladly give it 4 or 5-stars if it works.
